Doing the Feminist Legal Work: Early careers, activism and research funding

We invite you to attend a forthcoming online seminar on 16 February 2026 from 1pm – 3pm hosted by Dr Sarah Craig (Ulster University) and Dr Katie Nolan (TU Dublin) on behalf of the Doing Feminist Legal Work Network.

Entitled ‘Doing the Feminist Legal Work: Early careers, activism and research funding’, this event focuses on some of the concrete challenges (and opportunities) of building a feminist academic career. We will be bringing together a diverse group of scholars and practitioners in two panel discussions.

Panel 1 will discuss ‘Early career experiences and engaging in activism’, and we will be joined by:

  • Dr Sahar Ahmed, TU Dublin
  • Dr Meghan Hoyt, Women’s Resource and Development Agency
  • Dr Aoife Price, UCC

Panel 2 will discuss ‘Funding a research career’, and we will be joined by:

  • Prof Maebh Harding UCD
  • Dr Mina Hosseini, UCD
  • Dr Claire Lougarre, Ulster University

Between the panels, we will have a virtual coffee break offering a chance for online chat and catching up.

If you would like to join us, you can register for the webinar here

We hope to see you there!
